When I tell religious people about Jesus Christ, most of them often say: "what matters is the heart, I know my level of spirituality" No sir, it is not about your heart, it is about Jesus Christ alone and Him crucified! Your heart does not have the capacity to save you! Jesus Christ does If your heart could save you then Jesus Christ wouldn't pay for you Sir, it is not by your level of spirituality  A witch doctor is also spiritual! The question is have you submitted to the Righteousness of God? Have you dropped your 'self righteousness" and accept the Righteousness of God? Have you received Jesus Christ into your life? Have you let go of this 'saint' and that 'saint' and LOOK ON TO JESUS CHRIST ALONE! Or have you been living a lie, practicing and preaching perverted gospel? Lets give a short analogy: Think of the closest person in your life right now. Do you need a third party to help you call that person, to talk or request a favor? If your answer is 'No', then that's a healthy relationship. What Christ secured for you is 'SONSHIP'. That's what He secured for you, to make God the closest person to you, not just your God but your Father. Let's read the gospel of St John 1:12 (NKV) "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name" No wonder he says again in: 1 John 3:1 (AMPC) "SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him." This is what Christ secured for you. Do you know St Steven was martyred before St Paul? And James was murdered before John? But is it written anywhere in the bible that the Apostles prayed to James or Steven, asking them to intercede for them who are still on earth? Did the Apostles ever ask the intervention of dead people? Did they had different devotional groups to different saints holding novenas seeking thier intercession? The answer is No! So since they didn't, why didn't they do it? Let's see the answer from the scriptures. Amidst many other reasons, lets see two very important reasons they didn't do it. 1. They have The Greatest Helper in the Person of the Holy Spirit. The Apostles lived in an unbroken fellowship with The Holy Spirit, and He helped them in all things!
